oven

Oven won’t heat, stays on Lo. I replaced the igniter and no luck. It clearly glows but I dont hear any gas coming out. I found a forum on-line that had a person with the same exact problem on the same range. They replaced the microcomputer and that did not work. They mentioned a fuse/fuses, any ideas? The broiler and cooktop work fines.

Hello,

If there is no gas flow with the new igniter then the problem is a bad gas safety valve.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-whirlpool-kgsc308lss0.html

Hello Gene,

I have received the gas valve assembly as described in the auction. After replacing the valve assembly, the stovetop works but the oven does not heat up. Any more ideas or suggestions?

There is the oven on-off switch on the side of the pressure regulator. Make sure it is on.
