Please Help, oven makes sounds pressing display buttons but will not come on

If you can help, my oven decided to quit last week and Im at a lost of what to do since my trusted repairman died the week before. The oven will not come one yet when I press the display button it make sounds. This is an electric double oven made by Whirlpool. I have went outside and checked the fuses and they appear to be ok. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Tameka,

Your oven has a clock display, and beeps when the buttons are pressed, but the display does not change, and you never had a "F" code in the display(F1, F3, F8,etc.) but everthing else works, is that correct ?

If that’s the case, you most likely have a bad oven control board.

We’d be happy to walk you through the repair, if you’d like.

That sounds like a plan Joe but would it make a difference if the display does not show either? The display does not show anything (like the temperature, time, etc…) and makes the noise when pressing various buttons. Do you still think it’s the same problem? Thank you so much for your help as well. It’s greatly appreciated.

Tameka,

I’m still 98 % sure, you’ll need the control board, based on your post description, all the buttons work and beep, but no display or program.

There’s a slight possibiliy that the control board transformer, may have a weak low voltage circuit, but we’d need access to a multi meter to varify that.

Here are the service manual instructions for accessing and replacing the control board(so you’ll know what to expect).
