I have a Kenmore side-by-side model # 106.53632300 with in door ice dispenser. The ice maker has stopped making Ice. I started by reading through some of the posts and believe that either the optic board is bad or a fuse is out if there is one. Some times I have a blinking red indicator light in the frezer other times it is out completely press flapper down sometimes it is constat red others it is out completely. 0.5 Volt to N-L, fill tube clear dispenses water just fine.
Make sure the lenses on both optic boards are clean. Make sure the "on-off" switch is on. Do not touch the light switch. Close the emitter door on the left side to clear the optic beam and watch the LED on the right side.
If it’s off or blinking, replace the optic boards.
If it stays on, remove the ice maker. Remove the ice maker wire harness from the ice maker and check the black wire for continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the ice maker.
My dishwasher wasn’t cleaning the top rack dishes properly, and was leaving everthing pretty wet, even after "heat dry" cycle. The top spray bar wasn’t spinning, but the bottom one was, and still is OK. We just bought a new top spray bar from you and installed it, and it still isn’t spinning. I made sure the rubber surfaced gasket fits up against the hole in the back wall, so maybe the pressure is too low to spin it? I can see that it is getting and squirting some water, and I can hear the usual noises coming from the washer, but no spin. What should I check next, and where is it located? There is an accumulation of crap on the drain screen, but there are no leaks or failure to drain. So, WTF???
Any ideas?
