I have a problem with my ice maker. The last couple of years we have noticed that the Ice just doesnt keep up. I have noticed some ice in the fill tube whenever my wife says were running out but sometimes it doesnt seem like it would be enough to stop the flow. I ordered a new icemake from you last year but since it started working I have yet to install it. Just to be on the safe side I will tell you what ive done. The water in the door works great. I swapped the wires on the valve, pressed the water dispensor and it filled up the tray fine. I am assuming that means the the valve is ok but does the fridge come with a built in water filter that may be slowing down the water flow? If there is one it hasnt been changed in 13 years. The door dispensor seem fine. Should I go ahead and change the ice maker anyway? Also, my wife chews on crushed ice all day but when she was out of town I noticed that it kept up with cubed ice for me just fine. Would using mostly crushed ice cause the maker to have trouble catching up?
