Range use w/o bake element

I recently had the bake element in my Frigidaire oven go bad. I have ordered a replacement and am waiting for it to arrive…

My question is is it safe to plug the stove back in and use the range-top burners without a bake element installed? I would THINK that as long as I didn’t turn on the oven it would be ok, but then again, that’s why I’m asking… :slight_smile:

have you removed element ? if so electric tape the connectors seperatly. the use top.unplug first

I have indeed removed the bad bake element. It has broken into two pieces. Should I leave it removed and tape up the leads or re-connect the old element until the new one arrives?
