The refrigerator is always running. The only way to stop it is to turn the thermostat to "off". Can the defroster be the cause of it running all the time? The compressor seems to be running all the time (or maybe just the fan). I have a spare working defrost timer which I could try. Is there a way to test the defrost timer? Any diagrams related to circuitry for this model would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Need better info. whats the temps in the unit?. (both sides) Set both controls in the MIDDLE of there range. Its UNLIKELY its the timer. is there any FROST built up in the FREEZER?
Food has already gone bad in the refrigerator, frost has again developed in the back of the freezer (previously defrosted with hair dryer a week ago), turning the defroster clockwise shuts the compressor for approximately 15 min and then it came back on again. It has been running continuously ever since. Refrigerator thermostat shows open on the meter when selected to off, and closed at every other temperature setting. Is that normal or should it show a different resistance when you go to a colder setting? Sorry for the delayed response.
Please go back and read My post#4. Click the timer until it CLICKS, Then DON’T touch it!!! Does the heater come on? If it does, REPLACE THE TIMER!!! IF NOT, Check The HEATER in the bottom of the FREEZER, and the DEFROST THERMOSTAT at the TOP of the coil in the FREEZER!!! The heater will have resistance thru it, The little round defrost thermostat should be CLOSED when its below 50 degrees.
Thank you very much, it was the defrost thermostat it never closed even in a bucket of ice. thanks again you have been a big help
At first this washer refused to spin when emptying the water, I got so mad that I shoved it. Then it decided to spin. However I heard something scaping on side about level with top. Something is caught between the drain holes and the exit. It has to be metal. OK so clean it. I don’t know how? I removed the first hose and nothing there. So I assume it’s in the water pump or second hose. I would greatly appreciate brake down or pictures. Does this exist without buying the whole manuel?
Sincerely
Starlene
Here’s a link to a free download of the manual for your machine.
Although we have done it ourselves, we generally do not endorse shoving the machine as a repair procedure, so see if the manual does not give you an easier way to fix it.
