All of a sudden, the refrigerator door will no longer close all the way by itself. There is no interference from anything inside the refrigerator, like dishes or bowls. The only thing that seems unusual is that the door sealing gasket is a bit deformed in the bottom corner of the door, and bulges in a small area when door is shut. The door will seal if you push the door closed rather than letting it close by itself. Is there anything else to check before I replace the door sealing gasket?
Also, the part I’m referring to is Part AP4001070, which shows up in the diagram on the ApplianceRepairPros.com website as item #201 on Model #SQD25VW, Diagram 10. It is called Fresh food door gasket. It is held on by bolts all the way around the door. In order to get Item 201 off, you must also remove Item 21 (the door liner), and Item 221 (insulation frame kit). I’m assuming that I can remove all 3 of these by removing the hexagonal bolts with a normal ratchet wrench, and need no other special tools or replacement parts to put the door back together with the new door gasket? Is this right?
Thanks so much for your help.
