Refrigerator not working and the freezer works as a refrigerator

Our Maytag fridge is not cooling at all. The Freezer does not freeze but it does keep the refrigerator temp. We are putting our milk and other stuff in the freezer temporarily until we can fix this.

We have replaced the compressor on this unit three times in the past, latest being around 3 years ago. The freezer was never a problem in the past until now. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks for your help.

You must be one of the most optimistic people in the world, your cup must be always 3/4’s full.
If I had replaced a compressor 3 times I definitely would not say "The freezer was never a problem in the past".
Quite frankly after the first time it would have ended up in the garbage.

First ensure that the compressor is running.
If it is not and the evaporator and compressor fans are also not running you may be stuck in a defrost cycle. Depends on how long it has been sitting as to how cold the freezer is.
If just the compressor is not running, it may be a thermostat, start relay or overload problem.

If it is running then check that the fan in the freezer compartment is running.
Remove the evaporator cover so you can see if the coils are heavily iced/frosted up. If they are you probably have a defrost problem.

Turn the defrost timer till the compressor, it’s fan and the evaporator fan shut off. You are now in defrost.
Does the defrost heater come on?
Be careful that you do not burn your fingers.
Note that the defrost thermostat must be frozen, it opens just above freezing.
If it defrosts then your defrost timer should be replaced.

If it does not then the defrost thermostat or the defrost heat may be toast.
Note: this does not totally rule out the defrost timer as it’s contacts may be shot. See the manual and the links below.

If the evaporator coil just has frost on a area where the freon enters it from the compressor you are probably low on freon.

thank you Denman for the optimistic solutions.
The Compressor fan does run. After I plugin the unit, I hear a relay(??) click after about 15 seconds.

The Fan in the freezer compartment is also running.

I am trying to check the stater relay, but I can’t get the cover off. That’s where I’m stuck right now. I’ll see if can continue my efforts. Thanks again.

When the door opening button is depressed on my Thermador Microwave Oven (Model 16-10-623) the door latch does not always disengage to allow the door to open. It feels like the door opening button cannot be adequately depressed and therefore the latch does not disengage. The "MBY Parts List" is not clear on what part the Door Opening Button interfaces with to allow the door to open when the door opening button is depressed. I assume the "Door Opening Bracket" (part 42 on page 7 of the Parts List) is engaged by the the "Door Hook (part 10 on page 7 of the Parts List) when the door opening button (part #2 on page 9 of the Parts List) is depressed. If I am correct in my assumptions, which of these three items (42, 10, or #2) is the most likely to fail due to use? If the door opening button requires replacement, what is the part # (the drawing and parts list do not coincide as part #2 of the exploded view is called out as a Faraday shield which is not numbered in the exploded drawing and no part # for the door opening button is listed.)

[LEFT][COLOR=#000000]LOOK IN FREEZER FOR FROST BUILDUP ON BACK OF FREEZER. THAT INDICATES THAT THE EVAP COIL IS ICED UP. IF SO THE DEFROST HEATER IS BROKEN. ON MY SIDE BY SIDE REFRIG IT WAS NOT DIFFICULT TO REPLACE.
