My side by side refrigerator has become very loud over the last 12 months. The noise is coming from behind the freezer side. It is a loud humming noise that will stop occasionally, but usually starts up again soon. I have read it could be a fan, and I have tried cleaning the coils underneath, but that hasn’t helped. My icemaker also stopped working around the time this noise got louder, not sure if the two things are related.
