Removing the top of a washer/dryer combination unit.

I need to replace the lid switch on this washer/dryer unit. In order to do this I would like to know if I need to remove the top of the washer. If so how do I do this? When I remover the angled panel between the washer and dryer I only gained access to the dryer duct and the faucets to the washer.

Also, if I need to gain access to the back of the unit I will have to remove it quite a ways from the wall. This is likely to entail disconnecting the dryer duct. Am I right? If so, how do I do that?

Hi,

You do not need to gain access to the back.
Once you have the angled access panel removed you will be able to see the two clips at the back of the top that hold the top in place. Remove them two clips and slid the top forward.
