Need help to remove ice maker from freezer walls. A video show the ease in removal but, my unit is connected to both left and right freezer sides. Also, my unit has a plastic door or flap instead of a metal rod on ice maker. Don’t want to force or break it. Any help?
Hi.
Remove the ice door by SLIGHTLY bending one of the plastic hinges.
Take out the 1/4" screw on the right side under the icemaker holding the wire shield.
Remove the wire shield and pull the icemaker straight out.
Take the cover off the icemaker had and using flat screw driver push in locking tab holding the wire harness.
Thank you.
Simon.
Thanks for the info. I tinkered around with it and that’s exactly how it came out. I was affraid of snapping off a piece of plastic. Now, it’s a piece of cake.
Thanks again,
Rich
You are very welcome.
