Replace Jenn-air gas burner switch

I need to replace the right burner switch for a Jenn-Air gas cooktop. The Model number is JGC8430BDS, and the part number is "AP4098515 (74007774) - Switch, burner (rt)"

The question is how do I get to the switch to replace it? It does not fit through the top burner hole in the cooktop, and looks like I have to remove the cooktop from the base. How do I do this?
