The tripple element burner on my Maytag glass top range isn’t fully heating. Only the two outside rings heat up and the center ring isn’t heating. I will be ordering a replacement element part #AP4100429 to install.
Obviously the glass cook top needs to be removed in order to replace the tripple element. What is the procedure for removing the glass top, i.e. where are the screws located and does the top lift up or slide forward? Any specific instructions and diagrams for removal would be greatly appreciated.
My MER5875RAB just had this triple element go out a couple days ago. This is not the first time, either. Seems like a lot to pay for a stove if it is going to blow a burner out every year at $200 a pop. Is this a big problem on all stoves with this type of burner? Is there anything the user can do (short of just not using the stove!) to lower the risk of these elements burning out?
Hi, all these links that point to servicematters.com require login credentials. Anyway we can view the documents referred to without the need to login? Or are there any generic login credentials we can use to view the documents? Thanks.
Servicematters has become a pay site.
I have not seen a password etc. that will allow non paying persons in.
I guess it depends what type of info you need.
The following site has a good selection of manuals.
You will probably have to join it to get the downloads but it is free and is a great site for info. http://appliancedigest.com/index.php?
