Replaced Gas coils - still not drying

Gas dryer - Since flame didn’t ignite after 1st time, I replaced the gas coils. The flame now ignites and cycles, but temp still not hot enough. I tested continuity on thermostats and there is continuity. Should my next move be to replace the cycle thermostat? There are 4 prongs on mine, not 2 as shown in parts replacement pictures. Any ideas?

Hi Rick,

The first thing I would check is the exhaust line including the vent outlet and the air ducts inside the dryer.

Rick,

We really need to measure the temperature. You can use any thermometer with the range between 50°F and 200°F, even a meat probe thermometer.

If the temperature goes up above 130°F and down till about 100°F then there is nothing wrong with the dryer and the problem is somewhere else.

Gene.

Kathy,

In order to provide most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the dryer. You can find it on the door frame.

I have a similar problem. Kitchen Aid Gas Dryer (KGYS750JQ0) that doesn’t heat up anymore (it was intermittent for a week or so . . . now nothing). I’m wondering how to take the dryer apart and where / how to observe if the igniter is not working or what I might be able to test / observe to hone in on the real problem. Thank you!

Running the dryer this morning, I noticed that it did light initially and got hot. However, checking it 15 minutes later I notice that it must not be lighting again because the air is not hot anymore. Any thoughts

That is about the temps: It goes up to about 140 and down to about 100, although it doesn’t stay at 140 for long (see times in previous post).

So what else could it be? Thanks.

Machine not spinning
How to repair

If it does not drain as well then the problem is a bad lid switch (#11 on the diagram). Otherwise we need you to post as much description on the problem as possible.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?diagram_id=112069&&model_id=263878

Unit Won’t Stop Cleaning !!
Checked Water Supply Ok
Checked And Cleaned Pump Ifs Ok
Let Stand Overnite Started Again Found 2 Or 3 Sheets Of Ice Pilled Up On Top Of Cutter. Removed Them Nfound Brocken Wire On Cutter.
Is It Possible To Fix Wire Myself?
Or Must I Replace Entire Assembly.

Many Thanks

There is a restring kit for the cutting grid, but it is difficult to get it tight enough to properly cut. The entire grid comes as an assembly, but is well above the cost of the restring kit. So I guess the choice is your as to the direction you want to go. For assistance with part numbers, we would need a model number from the ice maker.

I Ordered The New Assyl Thank You

Hello! My kitchenaid dishwasher shut off in mid-cycle. Sometimes the green lights on the panel come on, other times, no response at all from the panel. I’m assuming it isn’t the fuse, because it works sometimes. I cleaned the panel with alcohol, and it started up, but shut off again after about 10 minutes (I was able to cancel the cycle it thought it should be in, and start a new cycle, but then it turned off 10 minutes into that cycle). What should I try next?

seems like once a yeaar its something. Now it won’t make ice seems to be stuck in harvest cycle
