Replacing a Glass Cooktop

I recently cracked the corner of my glass Frigidaire cooktop (which is part of a whole stove/range). The heating elements still work. I have never done a repair such as this, but would like to order the piece and replace it myself to save some money. From read some of your other posts it does not appear to be too difficult, but if I could get a good, step by step instruction from you all I feel I could attempt it. Or is this something that is too difficult and should be left to professionals. Thank you.
