replacing the heating element

Verified with local appliance parts center the heating element is bad. They recommed replacing the whole heater assembly ($90 at their store, $60 here). :frowning: Their reasoning is that if I attempt the heater element alone I will most likely have it burn up in about a week. Now since the price is $31 here on this site for the heating element it would be my first choice:D if it isn’t as bad they state. Yet if there is a strong possibility that it would be burned up easily then I would rather purchase the whole assembly. What do you think?
