Samsung RFG296 freezer ice maker not functioning

After we had our kitchen remodeled and the Samsung RFG296 was moved back and reconnected, we soon noticed there was no ice being made in the freezer compartment below. The ice-maker and water dispenser inside the fridge function fine. I pressed the reset button for 5 seconds, and observed the ice tray to be rotating and twisting, but no ice dispensed. I checked the water line behind the fridge looking for a kink, but none seen.
One other answer site says to try to defrost the water line to the freezer’s ice-maker. I cannot remember seeing that, but am guessing the ice-maker may need to be removed to do this.
Does the line behind the fridge split into two lines- one for above and one for below, and if so, could the lower one be kinked?
Any suggestions to troubleshoot or repair?
I am not at home now, so any suggestions I will have to pursue later.
