no water in any position. replaced timer and water valve. all wires look good. checked water level switch (ap4568155) with meter, when i blow lightly terminals 1 & 3 go to 0 ,no reading on 2 on or off.
also tested temp switch (ap3890456) on cold get 0 on 3 & 5
on warm get 0 on 1 & 6 and on3 & 5
on hot get 0 on 1 & 4 and 2 &
if i add water with bucket it will run until it needs water again then timer and everthing stops.
i also tested the hose from the level switch be blowing and it was ok and yes i am getting water to the machine. what do you think about this, thanks.
Don’t know the terminal numbers off hand but you should normally have continuity (0 ohms) between where the violet and pink wires connect on the water level pressure switch. This supplies power to the temp switch and valves. If it’s open, replace the switch.
See the attachment for the wiring diagram in case you do not have it.
Your measurements look OK to me though I am not 100% sure on the water level switch checks.
Note: that a bad hose to the level switch will cause the unit to overfill not no water.
You could check the level switch by unplugging the unit and the V and P wires at the switch. Then short those two wires together, making sure that they cannot short to anything else.
Now set the unit to a wash cycle and plug it in.
If you get water then you probably received a defective level switch.
You may have to resort to a live test.
Will be easier with two people re: one person in charge of the line cord.
Set the unit to a wash cycle.
unplug it.
One meter lead goes to W., best point probably at the water valves.
Now check to V at the water level switch, should be 120 volts.
Then at P at the water level switch also should be 120 volts.
If you have power on theses then you know the problem is in the valves/temp switch section. Could be a bad wire etc.
If there is no power then move the meter lead to W where the power enters the unit.
