Apologies before I start, might be long!
My dryer first started acting goofy when I went to turn it on and all the lights across the front would blink on and off inconsistently. Then they would stop and I could hit start and it would run. Then to the point they just wouldn’t stop blinking. Had a repairman come look at it told me it was the control panel and wanted $500.00 to fix. Told him no I would just buy a new one, ha- ha , has anyone priced a dryer like this lately? Anyway so I found this site, and the how to videos, and the great prices of parts, so my husband had me order the parts.
So he replaced the control panel and no lights at all! Put the old one back on and back to blinking lights. So we dug deeper and replaced the electrical outlet, the dryer cord, and the breaker in our box. The temperature control light wouldn’t work with the old control panel so we put the new one back on and WA-LA it worked! Well for about 15 minutes. . . . . . The it stopped in mid cycle and the cycle status lights, the 3 above the start button started blinking. I hit the cancel button and the lights stayed on so I just hit start again, ran for another 30 minutes and did it again. Eventually I got my clothes dry.
Well talked to someone on live chat on this site and they said it sounded like I needed to replace the thermostat and/or thermistor. So ordered those both and my husband put them on tonight. Still the same thing 3 blinking lights !
I just had to do it twice in the last half hour , but just put it on timed dry and it’s running a little longer . . . . Ugh I’m so confused!
Please please someone help! Have read several posts on hear about those same 3 lights and lots of different answers but no feedback on if it worked also no models like mine so kinda in a mind blurr on what to tackle next!
Just ordered limitor and wire harness for control panel, grasping at straws!
