Spark Ignitor Won't Stop Clicking

Hello,

One of the spark igniters on my GE cooktop won’t stop clicking. I checked to make sure that the knob wasn’t on "Lite" (it’s not). I suspect that some liquid got into the cooktop under the knob, but don’t know if that caused the problem. I pulled out the spark igniter and porcelain insulation looks intact.

I watched a video on changing the igniter if that’s what it is. If it’s the spark module, I need instructions on how to get in to it. Also, is it safe to cook on the rest of the stove until the part(s) arrive? For now I’m keeping it unplugged as that’s the only way to keep the igniter from sparking.

Thanks,
Ambyr
