I have a Speed Queen washer that when you go to turn the dial to start all I hear is a "hum" coming from the motor. The motor wil not turn and no belts are broken. I had to bail the water out of the tub after removing the clothes. I have replaced a pump a few years ago because it had a slight leak, nothing serious. Is the Motor shot? Is the circle switch that you turn to turn it on defective? I know enogh to close the lid but still the motor only makes the 'Hum" or buz sound and will not star This washer is harvest gold and has a stainless steel tub.
