General Electric gas dryer makes a clunking sound once per revolution with and without a load. I have disassembled it and can’t find anything obvious.

When taking off the rear bearing shaft assembly and heat diffuser found the bracket that holds the rear bearing assembly was cracked and almost completely detached.
