Hello all.
Here’s my problem.
When put into wash cycle, tub fills, switches to agitate, but will not agitate. The lower pully will not turn CCW at all. Motor works fine. Belt on motor pully would burn up if not turned off. Agitator does not move at all.
I smelt a burned belt last week during wash cycle. Turned washer off, ordered two new belts, installed and adjusted. Spin/drain cycle works fine, brake works fine when lid is opened during spin. I tilted machine and removed the lower pully to check things out. Removed shaft screw, cam and pully. Bearing above pully is good, cam lug on bottom of shaft is
fine. Splines on cam and shaft are good, adjusted cam properly and reassembled. When I turn the pully CW looking up from bottom of pulley, cam moves up shaft as designed and releases brake. Tub, transmission and pump work correctly. CW is spin mode.
Could someone point me in the right direction here.
