So we bought our oven new in 2006 broke down in 2008. What happened was that we were cooking chicken that night in the oven when suddenly there were these lights sparking inside. So my sister opened up the oven and suddenly there was a HUGE spark spilling out into the kitchen. We all paniced and started screaming (yeah not helpful). Finally we got the oven door closed and turned off the oven portion. From that time on the oven never worked again. My Dad checked it out and found out it was the burner that blew. So we ordered new burners replaced it and it still wouldn’t work. The stove (which is electronic) and clock work find but the oven still won’t work. Just recently we got it checked again to see what was wrong with it. The guy said we should probably just go ahead and replace the control board. So my question is "Is it really the control board?" and "Does anyone know the model number for the control board part?". I tried finding it on my own but it’s been elusive so far. Thanks and any help would be great
Most likely the problem is a bad control board (aka a clock).
