My microwave’s magnetron needs to be replaced. The magnetron is a Sanyo 2M219HB, and I was wondering if it can be replaced with a 2M219JB. The specs appear identical, with the only noticeable difference being that the plug is on the bottom instead of on the side. Does anyone know if it would work? Thanks!
I do not think they are interchangeable due to different configuration.

Hi Gene,
What configuration are you referring to exactly?
Tom
Thanks for the info. The two magnetrons appear identical in every way, except for the filament leads coming out of a different side. So if I installed it, it would fit perfectly except the filament leads would be pointing up instead of left. As long as the wires reach, it should work, right? Would you happen to know what the "B" represents?

Hi Gene,
I did some checking and I can install the substitute magnetron with the filament leads pointing down, and the closest object would be the transformer about 1.25 inches away. Would that be a safe distance?
Tom
Probably yes.
