Thermal fuse 4th failure - HELP

10-23-07 (Dishwasher about 5 – 6 years old.) Had circuit board ‘repaired/reworked’, but that didn’t fix things. Then replaced motor/pump assembly. That was it. Motor field windings had shorted.

01-06-08 Thermal fuse had failed – replaced.

07-18-08 Thermal fuse failed – replaced. Suspect voltage surge (very common here - computer problems occurred at the same time.) Added surge protector.

12-25-09 Thermal fuse failed – replaced.

02-04-10 Thermal fuse failed. Molex (?) connector melted at top (R – W) wire.

Dishwasher in excellent mechanical shape. Would really appreciate any help

Dave

I am assuming that you have replaced the harness when you replaced the thermal fuse (Item 22 in Section 3)
These fuses will blow due to temperature and due to current draw.

Could be that the operating thermostat is not opening reliably so the heater is drawing current for too long. Red/white looks like it is the heater.
Check that the water filling the unit is at least 120 degrees F.

Also looking at your other posts looks like you have electrical issues.
Is the unit on a separate breaker?
Low voltage will also cause the unit to draw too many amps.
