I’m trying to replace the dogs on the agitator. I have the agitator out of the washer but I cant get to the place to replace the dogs. thank you

I don’t understand ?
If you have the agitator out of the machine, you had to have removed the agitator bolt from the center of the agitator interior, correct ?
If thats the case then the "dogs" and clutch assembly should be removable, unless they’re jammed up or stuck from wear and year or "gunk".
