Turns off while in heating mode

Unit turns off in all modes microwave, convection or regular heating after a period of time (varies but gets shorter after each shutdown). Complete loss of power to unit for a short period and then a notice flashes on the screen that it "lost power during the heating mode." Requires resetting the clock and resetting heating instructions.

First time unit was on convection bake 400 degrees and shut off in 30 minutes. After three shutdowns the last time it was powered on it reached 400 degrees and shut off in 3 minutes.

After allowing to cool down; a bowl of water was placed in the unit for 5 minutes on microwave high. It shut down in 3 minutes.

There are no unusual sounds or smells.

This is not an exterior loss of power situation, there is power at duplex receptacle when unit dies.

In lieu of advice does anyone have a electrical schematic for this unit or know where one may be obtained?

Thanks

Sounds like it’s overheating. You may want to check the cooling fan and its blade (417 on the diagram) first.

That was my thought also, checked fan, filters all ok. Pulled the plug and let sit for 30 minutes to hopefully reset the board. I used today for 30 minutes and it did not shut off… ???..

I wanted to look at a schematic to see if there was anything (sensor or other item) that could shut the machine down.

Thanks for the reply!
