Okay. I ve been working on trying to fix my washer for 2 weeks. Im getting fed up. First thing it did was it made a small noise from control panel when you pushed start button, then the door locked light blinked. It managed to fill and drain. Wouldn’t agitate or spin. Found the code book. Tried to do the auto read, and it wouldn’t go, so figured we needed a new lid switch assembly. With help from your wonderful video, put that in, easy peasy. When we plugged it in, it initially didn’t work. Second time, it locked and did its normal thing!!! Until the last spin :(… It sounded like a plane was landing in my house! Now the damn lid wont lock again, and it smells like something burned!! Should I Invest any more time and $$ in this, or should I start shopping around? HELP!!
My prejudice is strongly against the models. Electronic controls like the one on your machine hate vibration, moisture and heat. Electronic controls on washers have . . .
I suggest you treat yourself to a basic top loader, one without any electronics. It will be less expensive, more reliable and easier and less costly to repair.
