Water would not spray out of the upper arms and spin.
Soap residue would remain in the cup after the cycle was completed.
I found the chopper assembly was "clogged" and I would clear it. Pressure would be great again (Like New) but in time I would need to repeat the process.

How can I tell if the chopper is broken? Should the metal blades spin separately from the metal cap?
Thank you, Alan
A new problem started where the water would not drain in between or at the end of cycles. I would need to press "cancel/drain" several times to clear the water. I thought there may have been a clog in the drain-pump but I did not find one. The pump does seem to "spin" (viewed directly)but It doe not seem to clear the water. Does the drain pump commonly go bad? Is there another valve I should be checking? Could the sensor at the bottom of the basin be the problem?
I have a GE dishwasher and took the WHOLE thing apart! Cleaned pumps of any debris and cleaned entire inside! Water pressure is fine! Yet my spray arm does not rotate! HELP! Can def fix myself but need to know WHAT to fix!
Ok last night I turned on dishwasher while it was open to see what was happening. It was obvious that there was not enough water pressure. Possibly a bad pump?
Thanks Lisa
Thanks so much I think I will order that part and give it a try.
Here is a blonde question k! The diagram shows where the valve is located correct?
Thanks
Lisa
Hi! The display and burners on my Maytag electric range are not working. The oven and display only work after I turn anyone of the burnerβs knob on. 2 of the 4 infinite switches appear to have black burn marks. I tried cutting off power, unlocking the controls, Sabbath mode, turning on the display; all to no avail. Help!!! Thank you!
Model is MER5552BAQ.
