My upper oven has stopped working and I think I need to replace the thermal overload switch AP3885687. The cooling fan has not come on when the upper oven is turned on for about a year, but the oven did work until recently. The fan does come on when the lower oven is turned on. So, I’m wondering if I have two separate problems or if this thermal overload switch has been going out for some time and has finally quit altogether.
Do both Bake and Broil not work or just Bake? If just Bake then the thermal cut-off is not the culprit.
If the blower motor turns "on" only with the lower oven in use then the control board has to be replaced.

Neither the bake nor broil work on the upper oven. When I turn it on I hear clicking like it is trying to turn on the cooling fan, but it won’t come on.

In that case the problem with the upper oven most likely is a bad thermal cut-off but it has nothing to do with the blower problem. Looks like there are two bad parts.
