I apologize if this problem has been previously addressed in this forum. I did a search and could not find anything. Initial symptoms were continuously flashing front panel lights, ice door flapping continuously, lack of responsiveness to any button on the door, and no ice or water dispenses. After doing some research on internet, I learned that two 35w 680uf capacitors in the DC to DC side of the HV control board may have failed. I removed the control board and inspected the two capacitors. The tops of the capacitors were still flat (the article indicated if the tops were bulging up, it was a sure sign of failure). I reinstalled the HV control board and plugged the refrigerator back in. It ran fine with everything working for about 2 hours. Then the temperature alarm went off and the refrigerator temperature started flashing between 38 degrees and 59 degrees and freezer temperature started flashing between 0 degrees and 27 degrees. The two 680uf capacitors became very hot to the touch. Could these two capacitors be the cause of the problem, or could it be something else? I learned that the HV control board is part # W10213583, but at some time it was replaced with part # W10310240.
