Maytag washer will fill with water but does not agitate. Motor hums during agitation. Motor spins if belt is removed. Does spin when set to spin and also empties water.
Since the transmission will not turn in the agitation cycle there is something jammed inside of it. Given the cost of the parts and the repair I think a replacement is the better option.
