I have a very old Kenmore Portable washer. It won’t stop at the end of the cycle… it just keeps going and going from one to the next. From what I’m reading, I would assume this is either a timer or lid switch issue? I can’t find a model number, though under the knob where you set the cycles it has 384507. Any suggestions out there? Thanks!!!
Oh, and it agitates as the water fills…
Washer will not advance to the spin cycle in any of the wash modes on the timer. If you move or jar the washing machine around a little bit, sometimes the timer will advance to the spin cycle. I thought the timer was bad so I replaced timer with a new one. Same problem exist. Did’nt help at all. 
Any good suggestions out there?
