My washer will fill up but not agitate, spin or drain. There is a humming noise when it gets finished filling up. Any suggestions?? 
If you are lucky there is something jamming the pump and that is an easy fix. Take off the cabinet and check it out.
If you are unlucky it is the transmission or motor, in which case given the age of the machine a visit to Mr. Washing Machine Store will be in order.
