Front load washer was not draining and I was getting error codes F9 and E1 alternately. So I took the pump assembly apart. Cleaned out the change, plastic candy wrappers, airsoft pellets, piece of an old sock, and sludge. Put it back together and remarkably it now drains, butt it still will not go through wash cycle. Fills and begins to agitate and then stops and shows error code F6. I have tried unplugging and waiting and reconnecting to no avail. What should I try next? (besides calling for the $250 Maytag repair) Does anyone know what code F6 indicates? Thanks.

When you had the front access panel off to clean out the pump did you happen to notice a tech sheet stuck to the inside cabinet wall? It will tell you what the error code means.
I tried to look up a tech sheet online for your model, but could not find one.
