Washer stops running about 10 seconds after it starts to agitate. After a while it will start up and run for another 10 seconds and then stops.:confused: What do I do?

Hi.

Remove the toe panel and when motor stops after 10 sec. check if it’s extremely hot and turns back on without you doing anything.

If it’s not - wiggle the timer slightly.

If the motor comes on by itself - bad motor or jammed transmission or drain pump.

If it’s starts after you play with the timer - replace the timer.

Motor is very hot. Removed belt so only the pump was connected, same thing. Pump works fine on spin cycle.

Before replacing the motor make sure the pump is not the reason.
