My Maytag Washer won’t completely spin out the water from the clothes. The washer will drain but once the tub is empty the motor switches direction and starts agitating so the clothes don’t get the water spun out completely and the outside tub still has residual water in it. The timer was replaced last week and fixed the problem of the washer not running through the cycles correctly. Sometimes the washer works fine, but most of the time it won’t spin out correctly.
You need to clarify the situation, is the spin problem lack of speed, or does it shut off prematurely.
The first thing to do is to check out the pump and drain hoses and make sure there is no obstruction.
Here is a service manual that will show you how to get into it.

The pump works fine and the drain hose is clean, the spin cycle stops prematurely once the majority of the water is pumped out.
Ok, good. Since your machine does not have any mechanical problems that suggests the problem is with your timer, this part here.
