After hours of troubleshooting and research, I am at my wits end diagnosing my out of balance problem. I replaced a leaking water pump on my washer and ever since, the tub is spinning out of balance. It shakes violently during the spin cycle.
Here is what I know:
Model: Whirlpool LLR9245BQ1
Age: Not sure; inherited it through home purchase. 4-7yrs?
- Washer operated fine prior to changing out the water pump. It did not shake during the spin cycle.
- I did lay the unit on its back and side while accessing the pump.
- All pads and suspension springs are intact and not worn or loose.
- The suspension plate is in alignment, sitting where it should be.
- The internal balance ring around the washer tub still contains liquid.
- The washer sits level and sturdy on the floor during operation.
- Self-leveling rear feet work fine.
- The washer will spin out of balance even with no load (no water or clothes).
I hesitate to replace any parts just yet because the washer ran fine before I laid it on its back to replace the washer pump. I am completely stumped and am desperate for any further direction. If anyone has further suggestions on what to try, it would be greatly appreciated.
