My FWTR657GHSO front loading Frigidaire will not spin or agitate. I needed to move the washer to clean under it right before it stopped working. (I had .5 inch of water under it). The washer fills with water and pumps it out. The timer does not seem to move. Ideas?
The "leak" was a backed up sewer line. I got that fixed right away, the smell was bad. If a bad odor could kill a washer, I would blame the backup. The water was not very high, .5 inch under the washer. The washer stopped working after I cleaned up and needed to move the washer to clean up the mess.
To save money, instead of buying the speed control board, I would invest in a digital meter and check for 115 volts to the input of the speed control board, usually a black and white wire going to a two pin connector on the board. If no voltage, you can refer to the service sheet to find which timer contacts are bad. Your timer has a cover so you can remove that and check for burnt contacts.
