washer will not spin

My washer will almost complete the cycle but will not go through the final spin cycle and drain all the water off of the close. There is not water left in the tub; but the clothes are still very soaked. Maybe the tub is just off balanced; but I can not seem to get it back on balanced to spin.

Can you give us some more information?

  1. Does the machine go through the spin and drain process normally after the wash cycle?

  2. Is the problem with all wash cycles (normal, perm press etc)

  3. Does the machine spin at all?

  4. Does the timer advance through to the end?
