My washer just started violently wobbling (scooting on floor too), like it would if the load was unbalanced. It doesn’t matter what size load I am washing. It completes the cycle and stops normally. I am noticing a slightly unfamilar mild noise during the agitation cycle as well. Thank you for any help!
Hi.
You need to check the belts and the damper pads

Thank you! I will try both repairs and let you know. This is a huge help! Thanks!
Please do so.

We checked the pads. They seemed to be secure and in tact (a little smooth at the edges). We did not change them, but did grease them a bit. We changed both belts. The machine was significantly better, but still shaky during the spin cycle. We adjusted one foot to make sure it was level. That seems to have done the trick. We are wondering if it would be recommended to tighten the 3 springs more than they were when we pulled the machine apart, if this happens again? Do those screws loosen over time? Or should they be left where they are? Thank you.
Hi.
It’s not necessary to tighten those springs.
Make sure all the legs are adjusted and locking nuts are tightened.

You are welcome.

Hello,
It had been over a year now, since I last needed help with this same Maytag washing machine. It is violently shaking again in the FAST spin cycle. I took the front panel off to watch it with no water and no clothes. The springs look good. There is some residual grease all over, which I assume is because we greased the pads before. But, it spins fine! Minimal shaking, no wobbling, no walking. When the clothes are in it, it shakes and walks. I have adjusted the clothes every time. It does not make a difference. It does not matter the size of load either. I have adjusted the feet. I can get it to calm down by sitting on the top of the machine while it is spinning fast. So dumb! Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you!!!
My Maytag LA512 Shakes violently leveled it what else can I do?
