Washer won't spin or agitate

Forgive me for asking an oft-asked question. I have read all the old threads on the subject, but nothing has worked. Call me an optimist, but I am still hoping there is an easy fix and we don’t have to replace the motor.

My husband is attempting to test the motor. How do we test it to make sure that it is a motor problem and not a control panel problem or a signal problem. What reading should we be getting from what wire?

If you take off the front you will see flashing light on the motor. This is for error codes.

The following site will tell you how to diagnose it, but first use the info to reset things. More often than not that will work.
