Washing Machine leaking - spin basket out of balance?

I recently moved. My washing machine was moved by movers. It works fine but started leaking - when checking it out I found the basket inside has a lot of "give" it moves more than an inch. It still agitates and spins but it leaks. I think when it spins it spews the water over the side. Does this make sense? Is this an adjustment I should be able to fix myself or do I need professional assistance? Thank you!

Gene.

My washer is not quite 6 years old. Just replaced the drain pump a month ago. Today the washer started vibrating during spin cycle. The vibration increases with speed. The problem is there with or without a load in the drum. The springs look okay and the the shock absorbers are also working okay. I removed all panels and checked the rear during spin operation. The pulley appears to be out of round. When I removed it and placed it on a flat surface it is not completely flush with the surface. The bearing looks fine. Is it possible the pulley is unbalanced and causing this problem? The ribbed belt also appeared to have moved out of position by a thread or two on the drive motor guide. When I repositioned the belt to where it looked like it should be there was no change in the vibration. Any advice would be appreciated.
