My dad gave me a ge side by side that still works great. About a year ago he noticed a electrical burning smell and the controls for the water and ice dispenser went dead. The door switch for the light still functional so I would rule that out. I have a schematic ordered from ge but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. It appears the control receives power from the control panel in the top rear of the freezer. Anything I can do a easy check on before I receive the schematics? Thanks in advance for the help.
