Water inlet valve problem

After washer fills with water, water continues to trickle into the tub. Flow is much less than when tub is filling but is still a rather strong trickle. Also, after washer has gone thru wash, rinse and spin cycle, water comes in thru the inlet valve and gets clothes wet that have just gone thru spin cycle. Is this likely just a bad water inlet valve? I have removed the valve and checked for electrical continuity and that is good. Thanks for suggestions anyone can offer.

That valve is most likely faulty. There is an easy way to test, though. Turn the water on and unplug the machine. If the water still trickles in, it can only be the valve. The correct valve for your machine is available below.
