Our dishwasher has developed a leak mostly from between the bottom of the door and the top of the access panel on the left side. Sometimes a small amount of water will leak from the same place on the right side. After scouring the internet and finding this site most helpful, I am hoping someone can shed some light on this problem.
Assessments/Interventions to date:
Water leaks with and without soap in the machine so I don’t think over sudsing is the problem.
Water leaks both when machine is run with dishes and without.
The spray arms spin freely by hand and can be seen ending their movement when the door is opened quickly when the machine is on.
The outer door panel and the access panel has been removed and the machine run. Water was noted accumulating between the tub lip and the splash guard on the bottom of the door. Sometimes the water will dribble over the edge and sometimes it almost spurts.
The splash guard on the bottom of the door appears to be free of dings/cracks/missing section.
The water just touches the heating element at the rear of the tub.
The door seal has been replaced in the last 2 weeks with a new seal from this website.
The seal between the two pump halves is not protruding. The two rings of screws holding the two pump halves together have been tightened 1/4 to 1/2 turn each.
A 24 inch level placed front to back on the bottom rack with the rack positioned all the way to the rear of the tub shows approx. 1/4 bubble pitch toward the rear of the machine.
The floor under the dishwasher is bone dry.
The dishwasher continues to leak. I don’t want to open up the pump unless I really need to. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should check next?
