Water level issue everything tests okay

Washer overflows. I checks my water inlet valves, they work. I checked water level switch it works. The tube is clear and not kinked. I checked the tub dome and port, they are clear!

So I begin to fill the tub as I watch the dome, and it doesn’t fill up. Like its plugged. So I unplug the hose from the water level switch and the water level starts going up the port and through the hose as it should.

Does anyone have ANY idea what I’m dealing with?
Any info or possible solution would be greatly appreciated.

Water is not supposed to go up into the hose. Only a small amount of water should be getting into the air dome as the washer fills. This creates air pressure in the hose which is what activates the switch. With tub empty, pull hose off the air dome and start the washer. Blow into the tube (not too hard), the switch should activate, it should stop filling and start agitating. If it continues to fill, the switch isn’t working. How did you test it?

First off, thank you for your speedy response!
I checked the water level switch by blowing into the switch hose, it does turn off the water as it should. In fact I have been washing my clothes by blowing into the tube and holding it closed with my finger once it reaches desired water level ( a very hands on process )

One other thing I noticed, when it goes to rinse cycle the water stops as it should, it SEEMS to only overflow during the initial filling.

Well, even though you say the air dome is clear, I would try to flush it out anyway to make sure. A turkey baster with hot water usually works good for this. Be careful, you don’t want to break the air hose nipple off the air dome. You could also cut 1/4" or so off each end of the hose and re-attach to ensure you have a tight fitting. If none of this works, I would just replace the switch and hose.

I back flushed the dome with hot water and 75 psi of air, then removed the basin from the tub to double check the 3/8ths hole going into the dome and the port where the tube goes, and also trimmed both ends of hose.
So I will just replace the switch and hose as advised. Thank you for your help
