I’ve looked all over the forums and didn’t see a post that is exactly the problem that I’m having.
Our washer has recently gotten to where it intermittently leaves water in the washer during/after the spin cycle. Last weekend, during the spin cycle, our laundry room flooded. There was water inside of the washer, along the frame at the bottom, but I didn’t pay attention to whether is was higher on the inside.
The first thing that I did was checked for any cracked hoses, or a problem with the plumbing, and everything was alright.
I’m thinking that either the pump didn’t remove the water and it spun it out of the basket and it flooded down the inside of the washer or the pump/outlet hose, has a problem.
Is it possible for the outlet hose to be clogged and the water not be removed from the basket when it goes into the spin cycle?
I’ve never worked on a washer before, so I’m just throwing out some ideas. If anyone has any idea what might be the problem, I’d love to know what you think.
Also, does anyone have schematic for this washer? I’ve been waiting for Maytag to post one online, but they have never put anything on their website about this washer.
BTW, once we got the laundry room cleaned up and I watched my new laminate flooring buckle as it dried, I plugged the washer back in and it seems to work fine now.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!
