Whirlpool Cabrio Washer - Short Cycles in Clean Washer Cycle

I have a Cabrio washer which will not perform a complete clean cycle. It starts at 60 minutes and when it gets down to 56 minutes, it then goes all the way down to 2.

I put the washer in the auto diagnostic mode. I was getting code F51 in the C1 phase. Research indicated RPS possible problem and suggest I clean the contacts of the RPS. I disassembled the rotor and stator and sprayed them down with electronic contact cleaner. I did not see any damage to either and let the spray dry before putting it back together. Reassembled and now the washer will go through all of the auto diagnostics (C0 through C9) without any errors.

I decided to try the manual diagnostics. The first manual diagnostic fails 10 out of 10 times. Instead of getting a dt code (indicating success), I get an oL error (stating the washer is overloaded - but it is empty of water and clothes).

The washer seems to function fine in the wash cycles. I am washing clothes with it.

Repair history over the years. I have replaced the water valve assembly in the control head and most recently replaced the drain pump as it was making a horrific groan.

When you open the lid of the empty washer the lift on the inner tub, it seems to lift an inch or more in the outer tub, so I do not think that is the problem.

Any suggestions, anyone seen this before? I just do not want to start throwing parts at the problem without some justification as to whether it might be the RPS or something else.

Thanks in advance
